ATMOSFAR electricity: recharge & connect the Wasp

At a glance

For personal power, select a Small battery and hold F: the shown battery adds 50 Electricity. Certain glowing plants also recharge the backpack nearby. To connect the Wasp and a deployed Camp Hub, use CONNECT ELECTRICITY at both ends and check for an orange cable and DISCONNECT ELECTRICITY.

Recharge with a Small battery

Tools use your backpack’s electricity. If you have a Small battery:

  1. Open your inventory and select it.
  2. Hold F to use it. Its tooltip lists 50 Electricity.
  3. Check your backpack power and the battery stack.

In the example, backpack power changes from 47 / 200 to 97 / 200, while the Small battery stack falls from 11 to 10. Personal fuel stays at 20 / 200; electricity and fuel are separate resources.

Recharge near glowing plants

The game’s electricity tutorial describes recharging near certain plants. Look for the slender blue glowing foliage and red-blue particles shown in the linked sequence. Staying nearby changes the backpack charge bar from low red to a higher blue level.

The tutorial also describes slow solar recharging. A plant’s appearance does not provide a precise charging radius or a guaranteed charging time.

Connect the Wasp and Camp Hub

Start with the Wasp parked near a deployed Camp Hub.

  1. Aim at the Wasp’s electricity interface and use the displayed CONNECT ELECTRICITY mouse action.
  2. Carry the cable to the deployed Camp Hub.
  3. At the Hub’s matching CONNECT ELECTRICITY prompt, complete the connection.
  4. Check that an orange cable joins the two. At the Wasp, the prompt changes to DISCONNECT ELECTRICITY.

Connected does not always mean charging

The cable and DISCONNECT prompt confirm a connection. Read the Wasp’s power gauge separately to check whether its charge is rising. A cable confirms that the two interfaces are connected; the charge gauge tells you whether the Wasp is gaining electricity.
